Formula K Factory Team powered by SRP is born
IPKarting and SRP Racing Team join forces to create a new official racing division for the Formula K brand, getting ready to hit the track in 2025.
Guided by Daniel Sliva and Petr Ulbert, IPK takes another step forward towards its long-term goals with regard to the racing commitments of the company. The aim is to build on the fruitful collaboration that started in 2024 with Maik Siebecke’s SRP Engines crew (who tuned the engines for IPK’s official drivers) and shape a new factory team together. Starting from the 2025 season, this official squad will exclusively represent the Formula K brand and thus use the chassis of IPKarting’s product line to compete in the most prestigious international competitions, including the FIA Karting European and World Championships. The Formula K karts will be equipped with TM Kart engines, which will continue to be prepared internally by the SRP staff, supported by the expertise of a former two-time European champion such as Fabian Federer. The innovative structure of the Formula K SRP Factory Team will welcome and assist drivers in all categories, and IPK will directly manage all the racing activities.
Specialised in tuning engines and running its own team, the SRP group have proven their skills through the years with several successes, also boasting multiple national titles around the globe as well as a KZ2 European title and a World Cup victory. The combination of SRP’s know-how and IPKarting’s chassis (designed and manufactured internally by IPK Engineering) has already shown great potential too, with some remarkable highlights in their first season together. Egor Nosov’s pole position in Alcañiz on the occasion of the first round of the 2024 FIA Karting European Championship was a testament to the speed of the IPK technical package powered by SRP’s TM Kart engine. More superlative performances led to Marek Skrivan’s top-five finish in the final European Championship standings and to his recent podium in the first round of the WSK Final Cup in Lonato, which ultimately resulted in an overall podium in the championship as well.
The synergy between IPKarting and SRP will therefore solidify thanks to this new project, with the two groups working as a single official squad to excel at the pinnacle of the sport. As IPKarting recalls their KZ World Championship victory in 2020 with Jeremy Iglesias, the company heads towards 2025 with plenty of motivation together with SRP.
